M & J 4 ever

I have been working non stop on this card, you could say it is miniature week for me.  Everything is little.  I started working with Kazan's sketch,  first thinking it looked like the beach with fish all around, and then forcing me to work in a different direction.   Making a garden, with a picket fence and all to mimic the scallops. Inspired by The Shabby Tearoom challenge.   There are 3 elements in Kazans sketch, I wanted to use flowers, the bird and something else so I made "graffiti" on the fence. And "carved" our initials inside a heart, LOL, and inside there is another bird with 4-ever!!!
I also think this qualifies as shabby chic
for the Moxie Fab World style challenge.

Here is the little Maya Road bird all deckled up in papers and pearls and embossing...
and the tiny organza blooms, handstitched to the card, some of them were a speckle in my index finger!
handstitched grass...
And my favorite stitch the French Knot on the making...
Enjoy!
Funny, all the work involved in a 4x6 card! you should see my scrap table!

Thinking of you

Cream in our Coffee at The Play Date Cafe
Woohooo I just realized I made the Cream @  TPDC!!!! Thank you girls for stirring me in your cup on my first try!

A close up for Laura's sketch this week, had a lot of fun playing with "Olivia" today!
I hand dyed the ribbon using Maya Mist and rinsing it to get just the slightest hint of pink to match the card

Here's the full card, pretty cool sketch.
Next one is the colors of Provence , France

This one is inspired by the Provence challenge @ the Play Date Cafe, a while ago Julie asked me to come over and play...I guess this colors inspired me beyond words. The sketch for this one is mine, I took advantage of the Sassafras PP and just played along! The ribbon is hand dyed using Tiger Lilly Gimmer Mist to match the challenge colors. And the stamp is Inkadinkado.

Here is my sweetie who just celebrated her B-Day yesterday, dressed and "tatooed" as
Barbie Merliah!

Sew Special

I had a recent visit from Nerina http://nerinasserendipity.blogspot.com/ @ my blog and she suggested I played at The Shabby Tea Room. Go visit her, her work is amazing! The challenge was to work with embossing , it could be dry or heat, I used both.
With the embossing folders from the Cuttlebug I embossed the background, then I stamped and embossed the image, including the needle and thread from Crafty Secrets. Of course I couldn't help but visit Kazan, it was her sketch this week, and I used it as the inspiration for my wall hanging. I may try and post this again, because there is pink and acqua in the backgrounds and I see neither
This did photograph all bright and cheery, the way it is! All the way to the Citycrafter some like it HOT and RED!

Good Times

Good Times under the sizzling sun. It is Hot here. This is a tag I made reusing a store coupon. It had the coolest tag form and the coolest size, it's roughly a 4x6 I can actually use this to create a tag album or maybe use it as an embellie in a LO. I think it turned out juicy and nice. Those colors from Bo Bunny make me happy, the background color makes me happy, lime green has an effect on me... Anywho this is my entry for Laura's sketch, all flipped around my way!

I am telling you, yummy...
Sonia @ http://sonia-studio60.blogspot.com/ asked i we could make her a wedding card. I did a 50 yr anniversary card for her challenge. Not many people fall into that category and the commitment....

This is one of Becky's sketches for this months Page Maps and my entry below can be found here http://www.pagemaps.com/july10maps.htm

Here is my son in a pic with Carlos Alomar while the Mets were playing the Marlins here in Puerto Rico this past Monday. What a blast having a Mayour Leagues game here. It was the perfect Father's Day for them.
Enjoy your 4th of July!
